Founder Story
The bridge between business and mindwork
Claudia Schwinghammer, founder of Spark, completed her RTT® training in 2021 and successfully built her private practice. When several clients asked why she wasn’t bringing this work into the business world, she recognised a growing need.
With more than 25 years of corporate experience, Claudia combined RTT®, hypnosis and mindwork with practical business expertise. This became the foundation of Spark.
Today, Spark helps leaders and teams unlock performance, strengthen resilience and create lasting change by addressing the patterns behind behaviour and decision-making.
“Spark is the bridge between business experience and transformational mindwork – for people who are ready to create change at the root.”

Founder, SparkProfessional Hypnosis
Hypnosis is focused attention – not loss of control.
Hypnosis is not a recent invention – it is one of the oldest documented healing practices in human history, with roots going back thousands of years and today hundreds of thousands of people worldwide have benefited from it in a professional context.
Importantly, hypnosis is a completely natural state – one that most people enter spontaneously every day, such as when deeply absorbed in a book, driving a familiar route or in the moments just before sleep. There is nothing unusual or concerning about it.
Professional hypnosis is not stage entertainment. It is a state of focused attention and deep relaxation in which people can access inner patterns more easily. Clients remain conscious, responsive and in control throughout every session. You cannot be forced to say or do anything against your will.
If a leader knows what to do but still hesitates, avoids, overcontrols or doubts themselves, the block may sit below the conscious level. Professional hypnosis creates direct access to exactly that level.
Myth vs Reality
You lose control and do whatever the hypnotist says
You remain fully conscious and in control at all times
It is like stage hypnosis – entertainment, not serious
Professional hypnosis is a structured, evidence-informed change process
You are asleep and unaware during hypnosis
You are awake, aware and remember what happens throughout
Why companies are becoming more open to it
For a long time, hypnosis in business sounded unusual. Today, organisations are looking for solutions that go beyond surface-level tools and create meaningful, sustainable change – and hypnosis is increasingly part of that conversation.
Addressing the myths
What hypnosis is – and what it definitely is not.
Most fears about hypnosis come from stage shows and films – not from professional practice. Here we address the most common questions directly.
-
“In hypnosis, I lose control.”
You remain conscious and in control. Hypnosis is focused access to your own inner patterns – not control by someone else.
-
“Hypnosis is only for private problems.”
Many business blocks have personal roots: self-worth, fear of failure, visibility or old beliefs about safety and success.
-
“Business coaching should be enough.”
Coaching is valuable. But if the same pattern keeps repeating despite insight, the block may sit deeper than strategy.
-
“I cannot be hypnotised.”
You do not need to perform or disappear into trance. The process is about openness, trust and focus – not a special ability.
-
“Companies are not ready for this.”
That may have been true at the beginning. Today, more companies understand that mental health, leadership and performance belong together.
What is RTT® – and why Marisa Peer matters
RTT® – Rapid Transformational Therapy
RTT® was founded by Marisa Peer and is a contemporary approach drawing on hypnosis, psychotherapy, CBT, NLP, solution-focused work and mindfulness. The RTT® School launched in 2015 and is now practised by certified professionals in over 50 countries worldwide.
The core idea is simple but powerful: many present-day blocks are linked to beliefs, meanings and emotional patterns formed earlier in life and stored outside everyday conscious awareness. RTT® works with the subconscious mind to identify, understand and reframe these patterns.
For Spark, this is highly relevant in a corporate context because many leadership and performance challenges are not purely rational. They often involve self-worth, safety, fear of judgement, or old beliefs about what is allowed, possible or safe.
Research Evidence
A 2024 meta-analysis published in Frontiers in Psychology – reviewing 49 meta-analyses and 261 randomised controlled trials – found that over 54% of measured outcomes showed medium to large benefits from hypnosis interventions, with particularly strong effects on anxiety and stress-related conditions.

Spark vs classic business coaching
Business coaching asks: What do you want to achieve?
Spark also asks: What is truly holding you back?
Spark does not replace business coaching. It expands it. When the challenge is strategic, coaching may be enough. When the same pattern keeps repeating, a deeper method may be needed.
Classic Business Coaching
-
Works mainly with conscious goals, reflection, behaviour and action steps
-
Strong for strategy, clarity, communication tools and accountability
-
Often focuses on what needs to change in the future
Break Through Coaching
-
Works with conscious goals and the unconscious beliefs and patterns behind behaviour
-
Especially relevant when people already know what to do but repeatedly fall back into old patterns
-
Also explores where the current block was created and how its meaning can be reframed
